Set Your Search Settings in Codify
Customize your Codify search experience by choosing how code results open, whether Codify suggests frequently searched codes as favorites, and which search option displays by default.
Access Search Settings
- Click inside the search bar at the top of Codify.
- The search menu will expand below the search bar.
- Click Search Settings on the right side of the menu.

Choose How Code Sets Open
For each available code set, choose either Listing or Details.
Listing
When you search for a code, Codify opens a listing page that includes the code you searched for along with surrounding codes.
This can be especially helpful for ICD-10-CM searches when you need to review related codes, expand the hierarchy, or locate additional digits.
Details
When you search for a code, Codify takes you directly to that code's details page.
You can still navigate between related or surrounding codes using the navigation options at the top of the details page.
Set Your Auto Favorite Preference
You can choose Yes or No for the Auto Favorite setting.
If you select Yes, after you search for the same code 5 times, Codify will display a prompt asking if you would like to add that code to your Favorites list.
Select No if you do not want Codify to display these prompts.
Choose Your Default Search Tab
You can also select which search option appears by default when you click into the Codify search bar.
Available options include:
- AI Smart Search
- Code Sets & Indexes
- Tools
- Publications

Your selection determines which type of search information is displayed by default when using the Codify search bar.
You can also switch between these options at any time by selecting the tabs directly underneath the search bar.
Save Your Search Settings
Once you have finished customizing your preferences, click Save Search Settings.
Your selections will now be used when searching in Codify.
