    What Is This Feature?

    Practicode now includes a cohort management system that gives admin-level users a structured way to organize learners into groups, manage who's in them, and ease assessment enrollment. Everything is role-based, meaning what you can see and do depends on your role within the platform.

    What You Can Do

    • Organize Learners into Cohorts: Group your learners in a way that makes sense for your organization, whether that's by department, class, hire date, or any other structure you need. Cohorts make it easier to manage large groups without dealing with everyone individually.
    • Manage Participants: Add or remove learners from a cohort at any time. You have full control over who belongs to which group throughout the process.
    • Assign Staff Leaders and Assistants: Each cohort can have designated staff assigned to it. This lets you establish clear ownership and gives the right people the access they need to support their specific group.
    • Manage Assessment Enrollments: Control which assessments are tied to a cohort. Rather than enrolling learners one by one, you can handle assessment assignments at the cohort level, which saves significant time when working with larger groups.

    Importing and Finding Learners

    • CSV Import: If you're setting up a cohort with a large number of learners, you can import them in bulk using a CSV file rather than adding each person manually. This is especially useful for enterprise clients onboarding new groups or instructors starting a new term.
    • Search and Filter: The system includes enhanced search and filter options so you can quickly find specific learners, cohorts, or staff without scrolling through everything. You can filter based on relevant criteria to narrow down exactly what you're looking for.

    A Few Things to Keep in Mind

    • Your access and capabilities within this feature are determined by your role. Admins will have broader access than instructors or staff assistants.
    • Cohort management operates independently per group, so changes you make to one cohort don't affect others.
    • If you run into issues with permissions or access, check with your platform admin to confirm your role is set up correctly.
